The Ghana Police Service has announced a reward of GH₵20,000 for credible information leading to the arrest of a group of individuals accused of threatening violence in Obuasi ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The suspects have been identified as Fuseini Yahuza, Bernard Ahedor, Simon, Basit, and Musa Yakubu, who is also known as “Agya Musah.” They, along with their accomplices, have been evading capture since November 15, 2024.
The police’s heightened concern stems from a viral video in which the suspects made alarming statements intended to disrupt the upcoming December polls, raising significant alarm within the community.
In a statement released on November 15, the police labeled the group’s actions as “a breach of public peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29)” and officially declared them wanted.
Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as they continue their manhunt for this group over the threats made against the electoral process.
